I HATE United Airlines
I just came home from two fun weeks being in Utah and Idaho (which I will blog about later). My flight home to Buffalo, however, was not fun in the least bit. First of all, my flight from Denver to Chicago was delayed 2.5 hours because some United employee did not record the weights of the airplane. THEN my flight from Chicago to Buffalo was also delayed, then the stupid flight got cancelled because the pilot didn't show up (so they blamed it on a "mechanical problem"). THEN instead of putting all of us on the next flight to Buffalo we had to stand in a customer service line for 3 HOURS to get a flight for the next morning. So, I finally reach the front of the line looking forward to a free hotel, but NO "we unfortunately have no more availale hotels mrs. baldiwin." So sadly I had to sleep in the airport with the only thing comforting me was a 15 dollar meal voucher for lame airport food. So, the morning came after only 3 hrs of sleep and I was so excited to be done with airports. I get into Buffalo and am waiting for my luggage, but IT DIDN'T COME !!!!! My suitcase was not there and is STILL not here....The people said that they accidently sent my suitcase on the wrong flight and actually got to buffalo the night before i got there and was most likely STOLEN!!! Thank goodness that United insures all stolen baggage, right? WRONG! Although they will pay for all of my stolen stuff, but not until 2 months down the road when I will have already bought all the crap all over again!!! AHHH I hate UNITED. NEVER EVER EVER FLY WITH THEM!!!!

How horrible! What a rotten couple of days! *hugs*
That sucks!!! That makes me not want to ever fly again. And I thought my 5 hour delay was bad. . .
I'm sorry you had to endure that. I probably would have left them with a few choice words. :) I'm glad you made it back eventually!
You should totally write a letter to corporate! They don't like hearing things like that and will absolutely compensate for you! Trust me, there's something about writing an actual letter and mailing it in. Our friend Jon always writes his complaints in (from everything right down to a bad batch of Dryers ice cream) and he always gets a letter of apology with compensation. I think it must make more of an impact sending an actual letter in since we live in a world of technology where everyone can just email their complaint. Do it. You'll be happy you did!
