I HATE United Airlines
I just came home from two fun weeks being in Utah and Idaho (which I will blog about later). My flight home to Buffalo, however, was not fun in the least bit. First of all, my flight from Denver to Chicago was delayed 2.5 hours because some United employee did not record the weights of the airplane. THEN my flight from Chicago to Buffalo was also delayed, then the stupid flight got cancelled because the pilot didn't show up (so they blamed it on a "mechanical problem"). THEN instead of putting all of us on the next flight to Buffalo we had to stand in a customer service line for 3 HOURS to get a flight for the next morning. So, I finally reach the front of the line looking forward to a free hotel, but NO "we unfortunately have no more availale hotels mrs. baldiwin." So sadly I had to sleep in the airport with the only thing comforting me was a 15 dollar meal voucher for lame airport food. So, the morning came after only 3 hrs of sleep and I was so excited to be done with airports. I get into Buffalo and am waiting for my luggage, but IT DIDN'T COME !!!!! My suitcase was not there and is STILL not here....The people said that they accidently sent my suitcase on the wrong flight and actually got to buffalo the night before i got there and was most likely STOLEN!!! Thank goodness that United insures all stolen baggage, right? WRONG! Although they will pay for all of my stolen stuff, but not until 2 months down the road when I will have already bought all the crap all over again!!! AHHH I hate UNITED. NEVER EVER EVER FLY WITH THEM!!!!

I finally am enrolled in an official nursing program as of last tuesday, june 10! After so many years of indecisiveness and retaking wretched science classes at byu, i finally am on the road where i know i need to be! I will be starting nursing classes in september at UVU when we get home, and then finishing up byu when i can. I am so grateful/relieved that it finally happened...you watch, i will be the best nurse EVER :-)

Whitney's 21st Bday
My first funny moment at work...it think i am starting to warm up to it there :-)
Ok, so i had an extremeley hilarious moment at work the other day. Just to preface this story though, everyone should know that the old receptionist that i replaced name was Robin, and the nurse's name is Sue. So, before all of our patients come, we pull their charts so we can have them ready for when they come in. One of the patients that was coming in, oddly enough had the first name "BalBala". Robin (the old receptionist) scheduled her a while back so i had never spoken with her before. So, Sue (the nurse) and I thought the name was a little strange, but were maybe expecting some type of African woman. Lo and behold, however, BalBala was a small white old woman. When Sue called "Balbala" back into the doctor's room, "balbala" answerd back with a short retort of "No, it's Balbala!!!" I was thinking maybe we didn't stress the right consonant or something. So, a couple minutes later, sue comes out and is so embarassed because come to find out, her name is Barbara not Balbala!!! (the poor old lady has a speech impedement and cannot pronounce her R's) Sad for the lady, embarassing for Sue, but hilarious and giddy-making for me! (not hilarious that the lady couldn't speak, but you know...)

My life as a Bladder Messenger
So, all my friends know that I, Lacy Baldwin, tend to go through many jobs...not that i get fired, but i just all of a sudden don't like working there and other childish excuses :-) so...i do not work at the mall anymore. I actually work in a doctor's office! It pays way more than retail and it gives me good exposure to the medical arena. So, the doctor that i work for is actually a urologist (a bladder doctor). So, what do i do all day? I take messages for people who have bladder infections and who are peeing out blood...yuck! So, even though it's not the most glamorous job, i do actually enjoy it way.........more than folding shirts.
